Design and syntheses of new hydroxy derivatives derived from cholic acid

Abstract: First syntheses of four new hydroxy functionalized derivatives of cholic acid have been reported. We have applied first time well known Saegusa oxidation, Luche reduction and ï¡-hydroxylation (i.e., Vedejs reagent) for the syntheses of subjected cholic acid analogues.
