Abstract: Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) is a highly nutritious root vegetable that has gained attention not only for its culinary versatility but also for its numerous bioactive compounds. This paper explores the chemical composition of sweet potato, focusing on its functional ingredients and the associated health benefits.
